Where are you located?

We are located at 223 West Sycamore Street in Denton, TX

What is the best way to reach you?

Email! We stay very busy throughout the day, so the best way to get in touch is to send over an email. From there we will be happy to schedule a phone or in-person tour.

How many classes do you have?

We have two classrooms of of varying sizes. Our classrooms have both a lead and an assistant teacher.

What are your ratios?

Our Buttercup classroom (18 months - 3 years) has a ratio of 5:1, our Poppy classroom (3 - 6 years) has a ratio of 6:1, and our Clover classroom ( 6 - 8 years) has a ratio of 8:1. State ratios for these groups are 11:1, 18:1, and 22:1 respectively.

How much time do you spend outdoors?

Weather permitting, we spend about one hour outside in the morning and between 30 minutes and one hour outside in the afternoon. When the weather is exceptionally nice we might spend substantially more time outdoors.

Are you open year-round?

Yes, we are a year-round school

What are your hours?

Our regular school day is from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. We request that parents drop off any time between 8:30am and 9am and pick up any time between 3:30pm and 4:30pm. Our academic school day is between 9am and 3:30pm. Please contact us for information on extended hours.

Do you provide lunch? Snacks?

We do not provide lunch, but we do provide a morning and afternoon snack. We ask that children bring a lunch from home in a lunch box or lunch bag that is clearly labeled with their name. Snack menus are sent out weekly.

Are you an academic program?

Yes! We spend our day learning! We learn through art, cooking, play, outdoor exploration, circle time, and child-led inquisitiveness.

Do you follow a curriculum?

Yes, we follow an adaptable curriculum in each of our classes that includes age appropriate learning activities in reading, writing, math, science, art, music, and language.

Do you have multiple locations?

Our sister school, Wild Hearts Nature Preschool, is located in Aubrey TX. Both schools offer similar art and nature based programs, but Wild Hearts Nature Preschool has farm animals located on the property and incorporates a farm school element in to the daily program. Wild Hearts Nature Preschool is also geared towards a younger age group. Please click here for more info!
